This will be the second year that the brewery has participated in International Women’s Day after it premiered Riveting Rosie Hibiscus Saison in 2017.

This year, the brewery will release three different farmhouse ales to be bottled and sold in four-packs with proceeds being donated to Women Helping Women, a local organization that provides evidence-based prevention and expert crisis intervention and support services for survivors of dating violence, sexual violence, domestic violence and stalking in Hamilton and Butler counties.

Each farmhouse ale will showcase artwork from three different, local female artists. The first batch of Riveting Rosie was brewed by Nicole Freeman and Kristen Ballinger, employees of Listermann Brewing Company.

The brewery event will include live screenprinting, a photobooth and a raffle to raise money for Women Helping Women.

“The idea is to show off all the amazing and strong women in Cincinnati and to give a sense of female empowerment throughout the city,” said Kristen Ballinger, marketing manager at Listermann Brewing Company. “It feels great to be part of the community and I feel that it is our part to give back. This not only is an opportunity to give back, but it brings together women over the love of beer.”

Listermann Brewing will be hosting an event at 5 p.m. March 8 in the taproom for International Women’s Day. The three female-brewed beers will be released in four-packs and available on draft. $1 of every pint during the event will be donated to Women Helping Women along with 10 percent of the bottle sales.

Listermann Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery and homebrew supply store located at 1621 Dana Ave. The home brew store has been operating since 1991 and the brewery has been brewing award winning beers for the city since 2008.
