Driver killed in Ross Township crash identified

Two Mustangs collided head on

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Ohio – The woman killed when two Ford Mustangs crashed head-on Thursday morning has been identified, according to the Journal-News.

Laura Cheek, 38, of Reily Township, was the driver of a black Ford Mustang that was hit  along Ross-Millville Road about 9:30 a.m.

Cheek was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Ross Township Police Capt. Jack Tremain.

Larry Gray, 24, of Hamilton, was driving a yellow Ford Mustang that first sideswiped a Chevrolet Impala before colliding with Cheek’s vehicle, according to a preliminary investigation of the accident.

Gray was transported to West Chester Hospital for treatment.

Derek Elliott, 26, of Hamilton was driving the Impala and was uninjured.
